Boss Battle: Lord Drok

Lord Drok is a huge, mechanical metal Troll. He has a hammer with your name on it!

Lord Drok is very slow and telegraphs his attacks so much that, for the most part, he is easy to avoid. Keep moving and wait for him to rear his head back and laugh, which opens a small hatch on his stomach. Switch to Chilla, and fire an Ice Spike into Lord Drok’s hatch. This releases a swarm of Magmites.

The Magmites will follow Lord Drok around, but you need to fling them onto Lord Drok. Switch to Snare, and use his Bite attack to scoop up as many Magmites as you can. Then use his Root power and fling as many Magmites as you can onto Lord Drok.

The goal is to cover Lord Drok in as many Magmites as you can, then switch back to Chilla and shoot the Magmites with an Ice Spike, detonating them and damaging Lord Drok. Repeat this process until Lord Drok is destroyed. Try to keep Chilla relatively close to Lord Drok while avoiding his attacks. Drok’s attacks are slow and he is slow to recover, so take advantage of his pauses by quickly detonating as many Magmites as possible. Generally, you should be able fire 1-3 shots before Drok recovers and begins attacking again, but don’t be greedy. Fire your shots and exit Chilla’s Aim mode to get moving before Drok flattens you.

Any Magmites that are destroyed (by you or Lord Drok) leave behind a little health, so it’s fairly easy to keep yourself in good shape while battling Lord Drok. If you need to, just kill all the Magmites and take the health they leave behind, then use the next batch to attack Lord Drok. (Alternately, you can use Ash’s ability to heal himself if you need to.)
