One of Kameo’s original three Elemental Warriors, Pummel Weed winds up and delivers a punch worth a thousand words. He’s got some snazzy maneuvers that allow you to sneak up on Trolls and deliver the ol’ one-two before they even know what hit them.

Pummel Weed is the first Elemental Warrior you’ll recover (from a Shadow Troll) after the tutorial level. He is a master of disaster in melee, combining quick Jab attacks with devastating uppercuts to send his foes down for the count.

Basic Techniques

• Jab (LT or RT)
  Pulling the left or right trigger launches a vicious punch that does little damage by itself. However, alternate pulling the left and right trigger buttons for a combination that culminates in a devastating uppercut that sends opponents flying. 
  
  
• Weed Creeper (LT+RT)
  Weed Creeper submerges Pummel Weed in the ground, allowing him to avoid any attacks, and to travel under gates and other low obstacles.
  
  
• Shredder (LT when using Weed Creeper)
  The Shredder ability allows Pummel Weed to control explosive shells, as well as the unoccupied metal and plant shells used by Shell Trolls. Use Weed Creeper to get next to a shell, then pull the left trigger to take control of it.

Advanced Techniques

• Uprooter (RT when using Weed Creeper)
  The Uprooter is a nasty uppercut to the underside of the enemy that knocks them high into the air.
  
  
• Razor Top (LT+RT)
  Razor Top adds spiky thorns to Pummel Weed’s topmost leaves, turning his Weed Creeper into an attack that damages any foes Pummel Weed touches.
  
  
• WildRush (double-tap the left thumbstick towards an enemy and pull LT+RT)
  Wild Rush delivers a power blow with both of Pummel Weed’s fists. This attack is powerful enough to destroy some obstacles and smash through certain types of Troll shields.
  
  
• Weedkill (from the Weed Creeper, pull and hold LT to charge, and RT to activate)
  Weedkill is a devastating attack that can destroy an enemy in a single hit, rewarding you with a Brutal Bonus if used successfully.
  
  
• Spirit Up
  This increases Pummel Weed’s Spirit Bar.
